About Corey Jackson LPC


Corey Jackson is a licensed professional counselor and group facilitator at CAFA in Eugene, Oregon.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University and a master of arts in professional counseling from Northwest Christian University.  He also holds a special certification in Adoption and Foster Family Therapy from Portland State University.  Corey has completed Tier I and Tier II training in collaborative problem solving and has received training in the neurodevelopmental model, filial play therapy, and trauma informed care.  Corey is a lifelong learner and committed to remaining appraised of current best practices and relevant research.  

Corey has worked in the field of mental health since 2003.  Most of his work has focused on child and family concerns and includes work as a therapist, crisis intervention counselor, mental health assessment specialist, and intensive community treatment specialist.  Corey’s leadership experience includes working as a program manager for the Lane County Crisis Response Program, directing both the Mental Health Assessment Program and the Community Wellness Program at The Child Center in Springfield Oregon.
In addition to his work in mental health, Corey also has experience as an educator and trainer.  He has worked as an adjunct instructor teaching counseling students at New Hope Christian College since 2012.  During 2014 and 2015 Corey also worked as a Family Development Specialist for Covenant Kids training, certifying, and licensing foster and adoptive families.  Corey continues to give professional and community trainings in the areas of positive intervention strategies for parents, professionals, and concerned community members.  

He is also a proud husband of Stephanie Jackson who is a preschool teacher and local artist.  They currently live in Eugene where they enjoy the outdoors and raising their two fantastic daughters.
